Ampang's Scratching Slave

Just decided to do a quick post about Ampang, one of the resident felines at Dulcetfig. I visited the shop yesterday but only Ampang was awake, while Jack and Estee can't be bothered to wake up from their beauty sleep -__-

Ampang is so cuteee, she keeps licking me EVERYWHERE. Really, everywhere. My fingers, arms, tummy, and even neck :| I smelled like her for the rest of the day ><

Anyway, here's a picture of her while I was scratching her chin, transforming her into a purring machine. Total cuteness :3

Giving order to the kitteh scratching slave a.k.a. me :|
Also, I managed to ask help from the working sales assistant to take picture of me and Ampang, coz the thing is, when you're working, you can take as many pictures as you want of the cats, but not WITH them :( So I'm so happy there was people who can help me take picture hehehe :D

The unglamorous pose of Meimei xP
Meimei y u look so sad?
So happy to be able to play with her yesterday! Pet therapy :)

Okay then, until next post, see you!

Love,

Chikka

H&M and Modparade Haul

Hiya! So, when I went to visit Pet Safari yesterday to visit the puppies (see here!), I also went to the new H&M outlet at Vivo City. It was purely unintentional, as I totally forgot they just opened a new shop. I walked to the shop, like there was an invisible chain pulling me inside xP #shopaholic

Anyway, I think the shop is quite nice, even though it only has one level. It's smaller than the ION outlet, but the crowd is also not as much as in there. If only they have more than one register, it would be great.

When I was browsing the shoes, I saw these super cool shoes omg. *shiny eyes*

Aren't these shoes ultra cool??!
ME WANT!!!!!!!!!!
Holographic sneakers! I first saw it at ION, but they don't have them in my size boo :( The only sizes left are 40 and 41, while mine is 36. So of course I'm super happy to find these in my size! Quickly grabbed it as it's the last pair of shoes in the world hahaha! And they're very affordable too, priced at S$17.90 :D

Holo sneakers + cute socks = <3
After that, I went to the kids section, the most underrated section at H&M :P Seriously, girls. Next time you go to H&M, check out their kids section! The kids collection are so cute and actually the size is wearable by us adults. I'm a size UK10-12 (which is considered as large size), but I can fit in H&M kids denim shorts for 14-15 year old girls xP

Some more, their accessories are so nice too! Once, I got cute Minnie Mouse socks and Hello Kitty lunch box from there xD Another plus point is that their price for the kids accessories are usually lower than the adult's one. Awesomeness!

This time, I found two triangle scarves from there. I'm so happy when I found them coz the prints are so pretty and the size is actually also nice for us adults to wear.

Pretty Laura Ashley-y prints
The material feels like linen, but actually it's 100% polyester, so it's wrinkle-free. And I also love the crochet lace trimmings along the triangle side. This scarf is priced at S$7.90.

Neon polkadot with tiny tassel
The second triangle scarf I got is this neon polkadot scarf. The material feels like cotton but it's also made from polyester, so, wrinkle-free too! Notice the tiny tassels around the trimmings? SUPER CUTE >< And it's only S$5.90!

Overall, I'm so happy with my purchase at H&M this time :) Love everything I got! Besides the affordability, they're very comfortable too, especially the shoes.

Great find(s)! Yay! :D
Here's how I pair these items to suit my style...

Wrapped the neon scarf around my hair bun, plus holo shoes <3
With cute shorts I tried at JRunway, but I ended up looking like Kpop fangirl ew :|
I also love how I can use the scarves to wrap my hair bun, and also...

The tassels!
Notice the tiny tassels hanging behind? Super love <3 <3 <3

I love how by wearing scarf you immediately look (and feel) like a lady xP
Can be tied on bags too!
So, that's from the H&M. Today I also went to Modparade to check on their shoes collection. There is this pair I love, coz it's just so vintage-looking and look so comfy with the kitten heels. (FYI, I can't wear heels, or even wedges xP)

So vintage looking
Comfy heels that even me can wear haha
You can get this shoes from Modparade website here. Modparade is one of my favorite shops in Singapore too! You should totally check their brick & mortar store located at Haji Lane, it's so cute and quirky, full with ponies and unicorns and rainbows :D

So, I guess that's all for today, my wallet needs a heavy rest from now on sob sob :'( But Chikka is so happy because she has new shoes yay!!!!! *dance around the room*

Love,

Chikka

A happy (but broke) girl xP

Pet Safari Trip

Hello, everyone! I went to Pet Safari at Vivo City today to get my dose of fur babies. It's been a while since I play with anything furry, and I miss it so much!

Pet Safari is my second favorite place in Singapore after Haji Lane, simply because it is a one-stop-shopping for all pet owners. It has pet shop, pet grooming centre, pet necessities shop, clinic, training centre, as well as a dog bakery! How awesome is that!

I usually just watch all the puppies from the window display, but sometimes when I'm lucky, I get the chance to play with the dogs after they went for training class. Feel so happy whenever I get the chance to do that :D

Anyway, I went there around 4 p.m., and most of the puppies were sleeping :( And since it was raining (it even rained hailstones in the west part of Singapore!) and today is a weekday, I didn't see any puppy in the training centre. Boo :(

However, there are puppies who were awake! I'm so happy when they woke up :D

"You haz treats for me?"

This silky terrier girl is so funny, she keeps chasing her own tail hahaha! And those eyes are just too adorable <3 *sigh happily*

"Oh, hi there."
Look at this white fur ball! I don't know what breed he is, but he kinda looks like poodle to me. He's so fluffy!!! This baby is not for sale but just being groomed at the grooming centre.

Anyway, I feel kinda disappointed because usually there is this very handsome cat at the grooming centre named Oscar, but today he wasn't there :(

Handsome Oscar the last time I saw him, notice how short his tail is!
Okie then, until next post, see you! :)

Look At My Pretty Nails: Watercolor Dream

I've been wanting to make watercolor nails, however, it requires pure acetone which I don't have. So, I googled to see other alternative in achieving the look without using pure acetone, and found it!

From this post at Crafty Nail, she simply just use plastic wrap to achieve the watercolor look, which I think is way easier than using pure acetone.

You basically just paint your nails with any light base color (in my case I use white), and wait for them to completely dry. This step is crucial as if you don't wait until it's really, really dry, you will mess up in the next step. (Learn it the hard way from my own experience! :p)

Next, you have to do it one nail at a time. You put drops of nail polish of colors of your choice. In here I'm using light purple, darker purple, and a light sea foam green. Before they dry, press a plastic wrap onto your nail lightly, almost like dabbing motion, until the colors are all mixed and don't look like blots anymore. If the color is too sheer, you might want to wait until it's dry and repeat this step again.

Apply top coat to finish this design! Actually, you can apply sheer glitter polish before top coat to get the more pretty and dreamy feel x) I also applied sheer silvery glitter in here.

This technique is so easy and fuss-free to do, and you can experiment with many other color combination. I personally would love to try this again in other colors. Maybe with something like this...

Review: Kate Spade Fox Chapel Charlie in Heather Grey

Hello! So, as mentioned in my previous post, here's my review of Kate Spade Fox Chapel Charlie in Heather Grey!

Kate Spade Fox Chapel Charlie in Heather Grey
(source: www.katespade.kr)
Super cute baby right? *sigh happily*

I think the design is inspired by winter peacoat, making her the perfect winter bag ever! I can imagine walking down on snowy New York street, wearing peacoat while holding this baby x)

Anyway, I saw the perfect peacoat to be matched with this bag.

Burberry Brit Peacoat
(Source: www.lyst.com)
You see, the double row of buttons resemble the front buttons on the peacoat, and the band with one button on each side resemble the peacoat's cuffs. Pair that bag with this peacoat, black tights, knee high boots, scarves, navy blue beret, and a coffee, it will be the perfect New York winter look! :)

However, it's always sunny in here (or haze-y, as for the past week :p), so I have to postpone my winter look and adapt it into summer style. It's equally cute I guess! And the color is very versatile too, I'm sure I will wear it pretty often.

The material itself is made from twill. It's actually like peacoat material, and the thickness is quite similar as well. The texture is a bit furry and nice to touch. Since it's made from winter coat material, it should be durable enough to be worn on daily basis. I did some research on how to clean twill, and it's actually quite easy to maintain.

If you accidentally stain it, it is most likely won't do any damage if you quickly clean it with napkin or tissue paper. As for routine maintenance, you can use clothes linter to clean it from dust.

The material and label plate
The handle and trimmings are made from black patent leather, and like all of KS bag, all metal work is 14K gold plated. Another thing that make me fall in love with this bag is...

Look at the lining!
The lining! So pretty right! It's made from cotton with colorful prints of retro NY theme. Love it so much! I guess that's also why I love Kate Spade (apart from design-wise), they're not just pretty outside, but are beautiful inside too xD Can make a life philosophy based on their bags hahaha!

It's also spacious enough to fit iPad, folded umbrella, long wallet, and small water bottle. Even after I put those stuff there are still some space left. It's a nice bag for daily use!

Now, the downside(s). First, since the material is quite furry, I guess it's easier for it to catch dust? So it must be cleaned with clothes linter regularly. Also, the bag doesn't have any button or zipper to close the whole thing. You can see from the picture there is actually a zipped compartment in the middle, so I just put my small stuff and wallet inside that.

Another downside is, since this is an old stock (from around 2 years ago), it doesn't come with dust bag :( However, it comes with original tag, care card, and receipt from Kate Spade Korea. I will find way to get dust bag to keep this! Must protect all of my bags hahaha. #crazybaglady

So, overall, it's a practical bag for daily use, and very, very worth the price I paid! I'm a happy customer hehehe :)

Here's how I pair this baby with summer-appropriate look.

Okie then, see you soon! :)

Kate Spade Surprise Sale!

Yeah. They're having surprise sale right now!!! I have always been a Kate Spade lover, but their handbags are really out of my budget :( I never buy from them unless it's on sale hahaha.

Anyway, I have the (weird) habit to just type "Kate Spade" on Google and see what comes out :P And last week, I found out they're having surprise sale! It only happens on Kate Spade New York website and Kate Spade Korea website. The sale on KSNY is up to 75% and on KS Korea is up to 70% omg!!!

I browse through their sale item lustfully, and found this cutest bag ever!!!

Fox Chapel Twill Charlie in Heather Grey

And it's on 70% discount!!!!

omg omg omg omg

But here comes the sad news.

The NY website doesn't ship to Singapore.

What?!
And for the Korea site, I think you need to be the member to purchase the sale item. I don't know why Google doesn't translate that page because all of the letters on that page is in Korean so I don't understand a thing on it :(

So what do I do? I can't let that bag go. I know it's the collection from two years ago and it's sold out in Singapore so long time ago. I. MUST. HAVE. IT.

Since that bag is from KS Korea site (it's not on the NY website), I went and checked qoo10 (formerly Gmarket). It's like Ebay from Korea and most of the sellers are from Korea as well. And there it is!!!! There are two sellers who sell Kate Spade and both offering from Kate Spade Korea. I know it is authentic because the price they offer is similar like the price on the website. For the bag that I want, their price is about S$50 more expensive than the one on the website. Still....

So I purchased it!

The bag is delivered to me yesterday, and I love it so, so much! :) Will do review about it soon!

Anyway, beside that bag, here's some other handbags that also caught my attention and are on sale as well.

Fox Chapel Twill Tessa, it's the sister of my bag!

Bonsoir Shara. So pretty! It's made from rabbit fur.

City Spade Tote Small Coal

Mini Annabel

Carlisle Street Piper in Polkadot. Love the dots! It's so Jess from New Girl

Foxtrot Hill Alexie

Catherine Street Ginger
Fox Chapel Twill Charlie in Red
My bag also comes in red but I love the grey more!

Anyway, I feel so cheated when I see KSNY website and compare the price with their store in Singapore. The one in SG is almost twice the price of the US price :( Oh well, I guess that has a silver lining. If the price in here is like in the US, it's confirmed I can't save money at all. My wallet will bleed hahaha. So I guess that's a good thing it's very expensive in Singapore xP

Okie then, see you soon!

A Happy Crazy Bag Lady <3

So Many Blessings!

So here it is. The end of my life as a student. If I think about it, I already spent 15 years of my life as a student! So this is how it feels like to be a university graduate :)

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Marketing and Management :)
Countless ups and downs. So much mess, but also, awesome moments I’ve been through in these past three years. It’s been a very, very precious times of my life I will always cherish, and I’m sure, will bring a smile whenever I look back to this very moment.
I feel so grateful that I have supportive parents who always support me, and for allowing me study abroad. It is really an eye-opening experience for that naive 18 year old girl to live alone in another country! Not so naive anymore now, though… :p
Also, my gratitude go mostly to my awesome friends I’ve encountered in these 3 years. Especially, Giovanna Chee, Foo Siew Chen, Gemma Zhu, and Fernnice Wong. Before knowing them I never really experience the “Girl Friendship” hahaha! Those sleepovers, surprises, doing project together… So, so happy to have you girls in my life!!!

With the girls at BLUEPRINT Fashion Show
I know I’m not an easy person to be with, but you guys still want to be friends with me. Thank you so much for bearing with my selfishness and unbelievably-huge ego xP I’m trying to reduce those though… :|
Also, for the past year, I treasure my working experience at Dulcetfig too. I think I’m very lucky to be able to work in a very nice environment and to have such an awesome boss. Not to mention, having the Dulcetkittehs as my colleagues also brings so much happiness and joy in my life! Love you forever, Jack, Estee, and Ampang!!! <3
My helping colleagues!
So, what now? When I was a kid I always believe that after a person graduate they will immediately get a job and conquer the world. Such a naive thought xP What’s next for my life path? I really want to get a job in Singapore, been applying to several companies, but so far, no replies at all :(
Anyway, I feel so happy to have super awesome classmates. I will miss school life, and mostly them for sure! :(
Thank you for being such an awesome class!!!
But still, feel so grateful that I have successfully completed this phase in my life. Whatever happen, happens. Que cera, cera. Come at me, life, (I think) I’m ready! xP

Congrats to us, guys! :)
