CNY is fast approaching, so it's time to get a new hair cut! Since I decided to cut my hair short, I need to say goodbye to the bleached part of my hair 😭  It feels as though I'm seeing money being torn apart when I looked at the strands of bleached hair on the floor #cheapo #lebay #frugalbaby

Even though it's sad to chop down my bleached hair, I must admit I really like this new short hairstyle. I cut my hair with my go-to hair dresser, Mas Endi from Irwan Team Grand Indonesia. Do book appointment ahead if you want to get your hair cut by him since he's not always on shift at Grand Indonesia outlet.

#OOTD: Floral On Floral

Last week I was invited to the boutique-warming event for Billy Tjong's new boutique. For my outfit, I took the bold choice to mix floral with floral for that event. I know that the general rule of thumb is to mix pattern with something plain, but there is something with this styling match that really speaks to me. I asked three of my friends who work in fashion industry about this style and all of them said no lol, but I went with it anyway 🙈

Last week, I went to GoGirl! Beauty Market Vol.2 located at Kota Kasablanka Mall. The timing was pretty tight since I went there during my Friday lunch hour, hence why I didn't have much time to take pictures 😞  I just had enough time to browse around, went to ATM to draw cash, buy the products that I want, and rushed back to the office 😣

#SelfReminder: Make Time For Kindness

Kindness has never been my strongest point. As a person who finds pleasure in time efficiency, I often don't have the patience to do kind gestures using the reason "it's wasting my time". As bad as it sounds, I don't want to do kindness insincerely, and I rather use the "quality over quantity" philosophy.

Don't get me wrong, I can be sincerely kind to people who matters to me, but I don't want to invest my time in things or people that won't give any positivity back to me. What I mean by positivity: make me have good mood and/or good vibes, enrich my knowledge & experience, teach me something useful in life. Stuff like that, you get it?

Anyway, yesterday when I was in the cinema, I was sitting next to a young man. With a little light coming from the movie screen, I saw his face and instantly knew: he has Down Syndrome.

When Love Only Is Not Enough

I wish we live in a universe where love is the only reason we fall in love on the first place. I wish we don't need to consider external factors like steady jobs and parents approval (so Asian, I know), or internal factors like our own selfishness, pride, ego, and personal dreams to fall in love. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the love that we know in this society that we live in.

Brushing off the barriers, be it external or internal is not an easy task. Sacrifices will definitely be needed without saying. However, don't lose yourself while you're in the process of sacrificing. Make sure they're worth your sacrifices, or else, you might end up hating them in the long run for all of the sacrifices you've done for them.

Sunday Funday #OOTD, New Hair, Fresh Manicure

Sunday Funday! I've had a fun Sunday today indeed. I attended my colleague's wedding in the afternoon (hence the dressy look) and had coffee & manicure session afterwards. It goes without saying that me putting an effort to dress up plus a visit to Sicacilla (my favorite coffee shop) means an #OOTD post haha.

I finally got my wrist tattoo covered up! Ever since I made my Le Petit Prince tattoo, I've been wanting to redo my constellation tattoo at Revolver also. The reason is because even though I still like my constellation tattoo, I think it can be pretty much improved if the dots are much smaller and finer. Also, compared to my Le Petit Prince tats, this constellation tattoo looks pretty old school.

Since both of my Le Petit Prince and constellation tattoo are placed on my forearms, I want them to look somehow consistent, hence why I decided to cover up my constellation tattoo. I think I will make another tats for the constellation, however I'm still considering where should the placement be hehe.

When Life Gets Too Exciting I'm...

I'm so excited because so many (good) things are coming my way! I have another tattoo appointment with Revolver Tattoo this week, and my friend from Singapore is visiting me soon. I also have a holiday planned with a close friend happening hopefully pretty soon, and I'm waiting for a (hopefully) good news ♡ Crossing my fingers so hard right now for it to be true!

They're all happening so fast! And I'm abusing the exclamation mark so bad in here as well as the word "hopefully" hahaha.

Sometimes, I have this crazy thought. How does it feel like when you fall from a skyscraper, or let's say, get hit by a bus? Will you feel an immense amount of pain or will you just black out from the shock and wake up, hopefully, in the other Universe?

During my college years in Singapore, I was walking alone late at night when suddenly a cab kind of hit me. It wasn't hard, but I could feel it pushing on the side of my thigh. I was too shocked to feel a thing, even pain. The next day, I realized there was a large bruise on my thigh where the cab "hit" me. 

The Story Behind My Le Petit Prince Tattoo

4th time is the charm, perhaps? I'm not new to tats, and this is my 4th ink already, yet I can confidently say that this cutie work courtesy of Revolver Tattoo is definitely my favorite! (My second favorite is actually the one on my collarbone saying "Alis Volat Propriis", a Latin phrase meaning she flies with her own wings")

The inspiration behind this, as you probably can tell from the title, is from the children story book Le Petit Prince. It has always been one of my favorite books, written by French author/poet Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The idea to incorporate this into a tattoo design just came to me out of nowhere haha.

I yearn for love just like in Lana Del Rey's songs. It would be melancholic, tragic, and have masochist-tendency, preferably with older, tall, highly-charismatic gentleman who appreciates art and beauty.

I'd like to think that our relationship will be dominated by him, with him being able to tame me and string me along without even realizing it, because he never meant to, he just did. And I'd be happy to do so. Not because anyone or anything forces me, but because I want to.

Little Piece of Bali in Kemang: HONU Poké & Matcha Bar // BEAU By Talita Setiyadi

I normally wouldn't write about Sunday brunch & coffee places, but these two places impressed me so much I need to make a dedicated post/photo-journal blog about them.

HONU Poké & Matcha Bar is located in Jl Kemang Selatan no.125, just few walks away from Dia.Lo.Gue. This place offers healthy Poké bowl and various matcha-based drinks. I ordered their Yugo bowl and Iced Matcha, and both are super tasty. I ordered Yugo which has raw salmon in it, actually they have both Salmon & Tuna option, however I'm trying to reduce my tuna consumption since I'm scared of high mercury content in tuna 💀

I Have Orange Hair + Post-Dye Treatment

Finally I have my hair dyed. After eyeing the unicorn hair trend for quite a while, I finally decided it's time to jump into the crazy-hair-girl squad lol. Even though my orange hair is not really in the "unicorn" color theme, but you get what I mean right?
