(Review & Swatch) Lakmé Absolute Reinvent Argan Oil Lip Color

I finally gave up to all the hype and purchased Lakmé product. This Unilever makeup brand from India has been super aggressive with their online and offline promotion since the launching in Indonesia. Their latest product launch is the Absolute Reinvent Argan Oil Lip Color.

I got this lipstick because of the argan oil ingredient and its claim to intensely hydrate lips. I've been into creamy, hydrating lipstick lately, and this lipstick looks super appealing to me! I chose the shade "Silky Blush", a very pretty medium-pink that is suitable for daily wear.

The packaging of this lipstick is very pretty and elegant. The box is made from black glossy waxed paper with embossed gold font. The lipstick tube comes in slim gold packaging, and it has nice weight to it that makes it feels like expensive lipstick. There is Lakmé brand printed on the lipstick cap in black ink.

The texture of the lipstick itself is creamy, but not as creamy as I expected. Based on many beauty celebgrams' swatch videos on Instagram, I thought that the lipstick will be very creamy and glossy, however the finish is actually leaning towards creamy-satin compared to creamy-glossy.

The pigmentation of this lipstick is superb. One to two swipe and you get a full opacity. I tried using this lipstick during office hour, and it lasts quite a decent time for a solid lipstick. However, after 5 hours of wear, it somehow made my lips look flaky and I need to wipe it off and reapply fresh layer to achieve the creamy finish again.

To summarize, this is an okay lipstick for daily wear, but honestly it's not a must-have for me. This Argan Lip Color is not a bad lipstick by any means, but it's just not my most favorite hydrating lipstick.
